OMS completes work on Marjan Package 1
OMS has recently completed pipe-end measurement and fit-up work for the Marjan (Package 1) Increment Project, owned and operated by Saudi Aramco. Contracted by McDermott, OMS measured over 4,000 joints onshore at the APCO coating yard in Saudi Arabia. Following measurement, OMS carried out data analysis and fit-up, using our award-winning SmartFit™ system. We provided further analysis of HiLo, alongside detailed sequencing and grouping information, including load-out sequencing. Subsequently, OMS has been awarded more packages which are being executed currently.
The Marjan Increment Project aims to increase production from the Marjan oilfield, located in the Arabian Gulf, from 500,000bpd to 800,000bpd, as well as increasing production of NGL to 360,000bpd and processing an additional 2.5bn standard cubic feet of gas per day. The work involved in this $21bn project includes adding six major topside platforms and jackets, twelve interconnecting bridges and over 70km of oil export trunklines.
