OMS team expands with three new members
OMS continues its positive start to 2025 by welcoming three new members of staff. Stephen Bird and Jhonatan Scomparin join the R&D team, while William Baker joins the software team.
Stephen Bird, Project Engineer
Stephen Bird joins OMS as our latest Project Engineer. Reporting to Pete Watson, Projects Delivery Manager, Stephen is a former aircraft engineer in the Royal Navy who brings a wealth of experience and qualifications in delivering mission critical projects. He has a wide range of engineering, project management and leadership skills gained during his time in the Navy and civilian roles at household name firms such as Amazon and Hovis.
Jhonatan Scomparin joins as Stores Supervisor. He will be overseeing our growing inventory and working with colleagues throughout the business to maintain efficient operations and improve our stock management processes. Jhonatan has extensive experience running busy consumer environments with high health and safety requirements, developing organisational and customer service skills that are ideal for the OMS environment.

Pete Watson said, ‘We’re delighted Stephen and Jhonatan have come on board. Stephen’s impressive engineering and project management skills are a valuable addition to the R&D team and will help us improve delivery even further. Jhonatan’s role is a new one, increasingly necessary to help us maintain our high level of customer service as the business grows.’
William Baker joins as a Junior Software Engineer, reporting to OMS Software Manager, Ian Frankham-Wells. With a BEng in electronic engineering and an MSc in intelligent robotics from the University of York, William has also gained excellent work experience as an embedded software developer at Bytesnap Design.

Ian Frankham-Wells said, ‘Will is an excellent addition to the OMS software team. He brings outstanding skills in software development and robotics programming which are invaluable in our growing team. Will’s expertise in embedded software is particularly useful as this plays an important role in the technology we develop.’
