CLOV 3, Angola
OMS has recently completed measurement and fit-up of 1153mm diameter CRA and CS pipe, destined for the CLOV 3 development off the coast of Angola, which is owned and operated by TotalEnergies.
Contracted by Subsea 7, OMS carried out the work onshore at the Sonamet spoolbase, measuring over 1,500 pipe ends. Once measurement was completed, pipe data was analysed and our award-winning SmartFit system used to provide rotation, grouping and sequencing information. This included a selection of ‘golden’ pipe to be used for the end section of 350m-long stalks which had to be fitted without rotation and with minimum HiLo.
CLOV 3 is a project to expand the infrastructure at TotalEnergies’ flagship CLOV development in Angola. Made up of four fields – Cravo, Lirio, Orquidea and Violeta – CLOV was started in 2010, producing its first oil in 2014. Phase 3 includes the extension of subsea production networks and other infrastructure to sustain and develop additional production.
