PFM Laser Scanner

Adaptation to popular Bevel 360 tool scans bevels immediately after machining – fully integrated into PFM

OMS is pleased to announce that we have released the PFM Laser Scanner. An adaptation to our best-selling Bevel 360 laser bevel measurement tool, the PFM Laser Scanner is integrated into pipe-facing machines in an enclosure. Once bevelling has taken place, the enclosure opens, allowing the tool to deploy and make a complete rotation of the pipe face and capture full bevel geometry and pipe dimensions. If any bevel issues are identified, the pipe can be re-machined without having to move the PFM and insert any additional tooling.

Bevel 360 laser measurement system

The Bevel 360 laser bevel measurement tool eliminates doubt about bevel compliance, providing the user with an unrivalled insight into critical pipe bevel geometry. Improved understanding of the pipe bevel shape means welding can be a more efficient, streamlined process. The system can be integrated in-line with your facility, allowing for uninterrupted production and further improving efficiency. It can be deployed immediately after bevelling, prior to pipes being moved into production and can perform a complete scan of a pipe end in as little as 25 seconds. This produces a 360 degree measurement profile of the bevel.
