Marjan, Saudi Arabia

The Marjan oil and gas field, one of the oldest and largest in the Arabian Gulf, is owned and operated by Saudi Aramco. OMS provided end measurement and fit-up analysis for several thousand carbon steel pipes. Services provided included OMS SmartFit™ pipe fit-up and Smart Grouping, which reduced the project’s commercial impact by allowing all fit-up work to be completed onshore. Smart Grouping is most effective with seamless pipes because of the lack of welding restrictions. OMS delivered a best-to-worst fit-up percentage across all pipes with random selection and best rotation.
